As the story goes many years ago there was a romantic couple from two different Indian tribes. Princess Little Feather and Strongbow. They used to meet at the peak of what is now Destiny’s Peak. Little Feather would wait for her Strongbow to arrive, and they would spend their time together. You see, the two tribes were not in good relations, and this is why they had to meet secretly. One day Little Feather was waiting for her brave, and he did not show, in fact he never met her again, for many days to years she waited but he never showed. As the years went by the peak began to erode and eventually formed what is today called Destiny’s peak. They claim the erosion is from Little Feather’s tears, never seeing her beloved Strongbow again. So, she sits at the peak looking over the land below. All the while praying for other lovers to find each other, never having to lose their lover, like Little Feather Did.
